Proton BioSystems Lab, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology, is delighted to share a proud achievement as our student team secured the First Position at the Pediatric Epilepsy Research Symposium 2026, organized in collaboration with the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh.

The symposium, themed “Advances in Pediatric Epilepsy: From Bench to Bedside,” was organized by the Pediatric Neurology Unit, PGIMER Chandigarh, in association with the Academy of Pediatric Neurology (AOPN), India. The event brought together clinicians, researchers, academicians, and students from across the country to discuss emerging advancements in pediatric epilepsy research and innovative translational approaches.

The winning team comprised Sanyam Wadhwa, Vaibhavi Jain, Raghav Khurana, Manika Singla, and Parth Biyani, who worked under the guidance and mentorship of Dr. Harpreet Singh. The team was recognized for its exceptional oral and poster presentation in the Clinical/Engineering category, demonstrating the potential of interdisciplinary research in addressing challenges in pediatric neurological disorders.
